VirtualClothingTryOn.com (“we”, “us”) provides a virtual try-on widget and Shopify app for fashion retailers. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

1. Data we collect

• Customer full-body photos. Uploaded to the try-on widget so we can generate the virtual try-on image. Sent to our AI generation provider for processing.
• Body measurements. Eight measurements derived from the uploaded photo — shoulder, chest, torso, waist, hips, arm length, inseam, and neck — used for size recommendation and (optionally) sent to a CRM if the merchant has connected one.
• Shopify store data. Shop domain, product IDs, product configuration. We do not store individual Shopify customer PII.
• Retailer account data. Email, hashed password, billing identifiers.

2. How we use it

Generating the virtual try-on image, returning a size recommendation, and (optionally) syncing measurement data to a merchant’s CRM such as Klaviyo when the merchant has explicitly connected it.

3. Third-party processors

• Shopify (store integration)
• Cloudflare (hosting, CDN)
• AI generation provider (try-on image generation)
• Secure database provider (storage and authentication)
• Klaviyo (only if a retailer connects it)

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Data retention

Customer photos are not stored permanently after try-on generation; they exist only long enough to produce the result image and are then purged. Measurement data is retained for 90 days unless the merchant deletes it sooner. Retailer accounts are kept until the retailer requests deletion.

5. Legal basis

Performance of contract for retailer accounts; legitimate interest for try-on analytics; explicit consent for any optional CRM sync configured by the retailer.

6. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data at any time. Email support@virtualclothingtryon.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Customers can also request deletion via the merchant’s store.

7. Shopify GDPR webhooks

We honour Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks for customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Shop-scoped data is purged within 30 days of an uninstall, and within 48 hours of a Shopify shop/redact trigger.
